An introduction to using social media in a business context. This online package must be completed prior to setting up and using a social media account in a business capacity or as a representative for North Yorkshire County Council. The course takes approximately 60 minutes.

The online training is mandatory for anyone managing or using a social media account as a representative of North Yorkshire County Council. Anyone with an interest in managing a social media account from a business prospective will find the training useful.
What Will It Cover?
At the end of this package the participant should understand what social media is, be aware of the benefits and risks of using social media, recognise different applications and understand how to best use social media for the benefit of your service, customers and North Yorkshire County Council.

• Best practice examples of how and when to post; including how to respond to messages on social media
